Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting today kicked off its 14th annual CCH Connections User Conference, one of the accounting profession’s premier educational and peer networking conferences. From Sunday, October 21 through Wednesday, October 24, #CCHUC18 welcomes over one thousand tax and accounting professionals and industry leaders to the Fontainebleau® Miami Beach to learn more about the latest trends and technologies. Attendees will also discover powerful new ways to leverage solutions from Wolters Kluwer to grow, manage and protect their businesses and clients’ businesses.

In addition to general sessions and networking events, attendees will choose from five learning tracks which include Accounting & Audit, CCH Axcess™, Management, Tax, and Technology. The learning tracks offered through lectures, discussion pods and workshops address trending topics including The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, blockchain, virtual offices and modern security techniques.

Jason R. Marx, CEO of Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting North America will open #CCHUC18, with his remarks on navigating the crossroads of change, highlighting the disruptive technologies transforming the way professionals work and the regulatory changes altering client expectations.

“The long-valued tax-planning strategies that have worked for many years are about to change,” said Marx. “We’re focused on helping firms navigate these changes and its impact to the business, while empowering professionals to meet client expectations.”

During the keynote, Marx will share highlights from the annual whitepaper that covers a variety of topics including client service, the business environment and accounting technology. Although most firms are enjoying growth, firms reported the most pressing businesses issues to be:

In addition to Marx, Wolters Kluwer welcomes Ryan Estis as the opening keynote, who will share his thoughts on how to adapt and thrive, effectively navigate change and accelerate breakthrough performance in the new economy. The closing keynote, by New York Times bestselling author Sally Hogshead, will share key insights from her recent book, FASCINATE: How to Make Your Brand Impossible to Resist with attendees.
